Mental health care in an Olympia adult family home
Radiant Living Family Care currently carries an official Washington DSHS mental health specialty designation. In our six-resident Olympia home at 5134 James Place SE, stability comes from structured daily routines, consistent medication management, and close coordination with mental health prescribers.
Who this home is right for
Our mental health specialty care is designed for adults and seniors living with stable or managed psychiatric conditions — such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorders, or trauma-related conditions — who require daily structure, medication support, and assistance with activities of daily living.
Living in a small, quiet, predictable residential setting reduces environmental triggers and fosters personal dignity. Caregivers provide calm encouragement without judgment.
Working with prescribers & care teams
Proper mental health care requires seamless communication between residential staff and outpatient clinicians.
- ✓ Delegated Medication Administration: Medications are securely stored, tracked, and administered strictly as ordered by prescribers under RN delegation.
- ✓ Community Mental Health Coordination: We coordinate appointments, transportation, and case management updates with Thurston County mental health providers.
- ✓ De-escalation & Early Intervention: Trained staff recognize early symptoms of distress and employ supportive, non-confrontational communication techniques.
